Key responsibilities include:
- Executing algorithmic trading strategies in accordance with the trading desk's objectives, leveraging expertise in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Monitoring and reconciling trading positions consistently throughout the shift, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Performing start of day position and activity reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Conducting post-trade analysis on a variety of algorithmic trading strategies, providing insights for future optimization.
- Completing end of day PnL and position reporting, maintaining accurate records and communicating results to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with trading exchanges and internal technology groups to resolve trading system issues, ensuring seamless operations.
- Managing and reporting any potential compliance issues, upholding regulatory standards.
- Assisting quantitative traders in performing research for new trading strategies, contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years' work experience in a financial role, with a strong background in financial analysis and modeling.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and math skills, with proficiency in Python and other relevant tools.
- Ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer proficiency, including Excel and other MS office applications.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and team player focused on contributing to the success of the trading desk.
