Respiratory Therapist CRT Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist CRT to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Florida CRT License.
  • Associate Degree.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or BCLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation or STABLE certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
