Job Summary:
This role provides direct clinical patient care at Shelby Medical Center, a leading healthcare facility in Alabaster. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis. The role will also supervise staff to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and effective resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ensure efficient patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements:
- Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree)
- Current certifications and licenses as required by law, regulation, or policy
