About the Role

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Macon, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the guidance of senior staff, perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiographic exams, to produce high-quality images for medical interpretation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate patient care and effective communication.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, adhering to departmental policies and radiation safety guidelines.
  • Review diagnostic imaging requests for appropriateness, communicating with radiologists as needed to ensure accurate and timely imaging.
  • Enter patient and study information into the radiology information system, documenting billing codes and procedures performed.
  • Assist and communicate with radiologists, working independently to provide exceptional patient care and support.
  • Observe patients during radiologic exams, intervening as necessary to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Provide guidance and direction to junior staff, including student radiographers, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate records and supplies, utilizing equipment efficiently to minimize costs.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certifications and stay current with industry developments.
Requirements
  • High School or GED Diploma Graduate.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT.
