Job Title: Custodian - Float

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian - Float to join our team at Waukegan Community Unit School District 60. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students and staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Clean and maintain classrooms, washrooms, corridors, and other areas as assigned.
  2. Secure the building on leaving, including turning on the alarm.
  3. Turn off lights except for night lights.
  4. Report any needed repairs to the Head Custodian.
  5. Check the boiler and heat regularly to ensure they are functioning properly.
  6. Empty waste paper and trash into the dumpster.
  7. Spot mop areas as needed.
  8. Clean drinking fountains.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
