Math Tutor

Mathnasium is seeking exceptional Math Tutors to join our team. As a Math Tutor, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. You will learn and implement the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods, and participate in ongoing training.

Pay starting at $11.00/hr while in training, with a raise to $12.00/hr after initial training
Consistent, flexible schedule: 8-12 hours/week on average
Tutor students in math at all grade levels 1-12
All work is in center - no lessons to plan or homework to assign

Job Requirements

You must be at least 16 years old
You must plan to work with us for at least 9 months
Experience tutoring or working with children in grades 1-12 preferred
Math proficiency through Algebra 2 required, Pre-Calculus/Calculus preferred

As part of filling out the application, you will schedule your in-center employment test, which covers basic math through Algebra 2 and Geometry
If you meet the benchmark score of 85% on our employment test, you will be invited to an interview with our Center Director and Personnel Director
We aim to communicate our hiring decision within a week of your interview
