We are seeking a skilled Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team at Park Lawn Memorial Group, LLC.
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
This is a full-time position with up to 10% out-of-area and overnight travel required.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer and a valid state Funeral Director and Embalmer License.
Job Responsibilities- Clients
- Consult with client families or legal representatives to create personalized services.
- Ensure clients are presented with all merchandising and service options.
- Logistics
- Coordinate service arrangements and details with clergy, presiding persons, and others.
- Record merchandise selections, enter contracts, and complete necessary forms.
- Services
- Prepare and embalm deceased individuals for interment, cremation, or other disposition.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct visitations and services.
- Supervision
- Oversee employees participating in services.
- A four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
- Valid and applicable state Funeral Director and Embalmer License; reciprocal across states and in good standing.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Ability to empathize with client families and their guests.
