Job Title: Sleep Tech

Location: Salinas, CA

Duration: 3 Months+

Shift: 12 hour nights, 3 Days/Week

Pay Range: $43.00/Hour. on W2

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Tech to join our team at Integrated Resources, Inc. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Sr. Administrative Director of Cardiopulmonary Services or designee, performing high-quality polysomnography (PSG) testing according to the standards set by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct non-invasive polysomnography using 16 or more channels.
  • Accurately place PSG monitors including EMG, EKG, EEG, oximeter, nasal and oral thermistors, leg leads, upper airway sensor, and respiratory belts.
  • Perform CPAP/Bi-Level titrations under the supervision of a registered tech (RPSGT or RCP).
  • Administer oxygen under supervision of a registered tech (RPSGT or RCP).
  • Document all patient events, behaviors, and relevant information.
  • Utilize the Hospital Meditech computer system for patient data management.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, calibration, minor repairs, cleaning, and disinfecting of equipment.
  • Assist with stocking supplies, clerical tasks, and addressing inquiries from staff.
  • Train other Sleep Disorder Technicians as needed.
  • Participate in evaluating new equipment for the sleep lab.
  • Stay updated on sleep literature and emerging technologies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year in a Sleep Medicine Center or EEG.
  • Proficiency in PSG and EEG knowledge, equipment mechanics, and computer systems.
Certification & Licensure:
  • California State Polysomnographic Technologist license (required).
  • Registered through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) (required).
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards (required).
Education:
  • Associate degree with an emphasis in polysomnography OR successful completion of training in polysomnography with certification.
