Position Overview:
The Cardiac Surgery Acute Care Nurse Practitioner will be an integral part of a specialized team, engaging in complex cardiovascular surgical cases. Key responsibilities include:
  • Harvesting veins and closing the chest post-surgery.
  • Rounding in a 20-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
  • Performing endoscopic vein and radial artery harvests.
  • Assisting with procedures such as central line, chest tube, and arterial line placements.
  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and documenting medical histories.

Schedule: Monday to Friday with on-call duties every six weeks.

Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will possess a surgical background, preferably in cardiovascular surgery, and demonstrate resilience, teamwork, and initiative.
