About the Nurse Manager Role and Ambulatory Neurology DepartmentThe nurse manager will work collaboratively with a dynamic clinical team to ensure competent and compassionate nursing care for patients and their families.
The incumbent will serve as a day-to-day clinical leader for resource questions and/or scope of practice questions, help precept and orient new nurses, help monitor and ensure competencies, provide clinical nursing coverage as needed, ensure the ambulatory practice standards are up to date, participate in surveillance rounds, assess needs of the team, participate in projections for nursing projects and new initiatives.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities- Manages the day-to-day Outpatient Neurology Nursing Team and provides clinical oversight for the MA Team
- Participates in daily operational activities necessary for safe patient/staff environment
- Participates in all clinical duties of triage RN to provide coverage within the department and support the balance of clinical work within the patient care pools
- Management experience required
- Possess sound judgment, flexible thinking, and thoughtful leadership approach
- Ability to delegate and prioritize for self and others
- Prioritizes a reflective listening approach to team member concerns, analyze complex situations, and implement problem-solving skills

- Master's degree completed or in progress required
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required with relevant significant experience; Graduation must be from an accredited nursing program
