Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Substitute Custodian to join our team at Yosemite Unified School District. As a Substitute Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of floors, walls, and surfaces
  • Empty and clean waste containers, and restock supplies as needed
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of classrooms and other school facilities for events and activities
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Supervisor of Custodial Services
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • First Aid and CPR Certification (preferred)
  • Pass a TB test and Livescan clearance
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, substitute position, working variable hours as needed. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
