Job Summary:

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician at Versova Inc, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, electrical, and conveying processing systems/types of industrial machines and supporting equipment. You will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, periodic testing, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. Your primary goal will be to ensure the proper functionality of our machines, supporting the daily achievement of production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Equipment Maintenance: Under general supervision, repair and perform basic maintenance on industrial machinery (i.e., automation, mechanical, electrical, conveying systems, etc.) using manufacturer's recommendations and company SOPs to ensure equipment is performing safely and to required specifications.
  2. Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify root cause of basic mechanical and electrical issues and perform essential repairs that may include welding, fabricating parts, plumbing, or replacing defective components. Work with appropriate personnel and management if further attention is required to resolve the issue.
  3. Conveyor Maintenance: Diagnose and conduct overall conveyor maintenance on schedule as required.
  4. Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on schedule for processing machines and supporting equipment.
  5. Electrical and Electronic Work: Assemble, install, test, and maintain basic electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  6. Drive Chain and Gear Maintenance: Troubleshoot and replace or repair drive chains, gears, belts, pulleys, shafts, rollers, electric motors, and gear boxes.
  7. Tool Maintenance: Responsible for maintaining tools, keeping them clean and in good working condition. Keep work area organized, clean, and free to move in.
  8. Safety and Compliance: Work in a safe manner to protect yourself and co-workers. Identify unsafe conditions and correct them. Work with management to resolve safety concerns. When working in processing, follow all compliance, food safety, and biosecurity rules, policies, and procedures. Report any violations to a supervisor.
Requirements:
  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Experience: Prefer additional trade or technical school education for maintenance, mechanical, welding, HVAC, or electrical. Prefer 2+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or facility systems maintenance.
  3. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of electrical, electrical testing devices, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Reading and comprehension skills necessary to read, understand, and follow SOPs and other written instructions or work details. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and management.
  4. Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 75+lbs. Expect walking, climbing (ladders and stairs), standing, and sitting for long periods of time, and able to work in tight spaces.
