- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized treatment plans for patients, taking into account their medical history and current condition.

- Collaborate with Specialists: Work with surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate Patients: Inform patients about digestive health and disease prevention, empowering them to take control of their well-being.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
- Stay Current with Advancements: Engage in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in gastroenterology.
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Training: Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Certifications: Board certification in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA.
- License: Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Maine.
- Experience: At least one year of experience providing gastroenterology care in a clinical or hospital setting.
