Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

**Job Summary:**

The McHenry County ROE Application Consortium is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the communication development and difficulties of students in our Adjusted Learning Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies, activities, and techniques to promote quality student performance in communication and language development.
  • Assess communication and language learning outcomes achieved by students using a variety of assessment procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and the community to better meet the needs of students.
  • Work as a contributing team member to support the diverse needs of learners.
  • Assist with curriculum adaptations to meet the needs of students with special needs.

Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License
  • Speech Language Pathologist Endorsement
  • Comprehensive understanding of school-based Speech/Language therapy
  • Strong understanding of data collection/monitoring of student progress
  • Public or private school experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience serving young children
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Exhibit outstanding levels of flexibility, creativity, organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills, articulation, confidentiality, organization, and cooperativeness
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, walking, and lifting equipment and materials
