Position OverviewThis role involves providing exceptional care in a pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Specialty: CVPICU
- Discipline: RN
- Employment Type: Travel
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
The travel nurse will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients.
- Managing complex cardiac conditions and post-operative care.
- Utilizing advanced medical equipment and technology.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Active nursing license in the state of New Jersey.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in PICU critical care, including at least 1 year of cardiac care.
- Proficiency in caring for patients with various cardiac conditions.
- Experience with BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, and other respiratory support.
- Current certifications in BLS and PALS; NRP certification is preferred.
Other details include:
- Patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2+.
- First-time travelers are not accepted.
- Charting will be conducted using the EPIC system.
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required as per facility guidelines.
