Position Overview

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking multiple Civil Engineering Specialists II to be based in Raleigh, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support traffic engineers and project managers on various projects, including traffic capacity assessments, feasibility studies, traffic modeling, signal design, timing, and systems, as well as safety analyses and traffic impact studies.
  • Conduct traffic safety evaluations utilizing diverse methodologies.
  • Analyze fatal crash data to identify locations with traffic safety issues.
  • Develop collision diagrams as part of the on-call program.
  • Prepare analysis packages for the Highway Safety Improvement Program.
  • Generate reports on fatal crashes and provide recommendations based on MUTCD guidelines.
  • Telecommuting options may be available.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

The position requires:

  • Expertise in traffic safety analysis;
  • Field assessments for safety;
  • Proficiency in TEAAS software;
  • Experience with GIS;
  • Knowledge of MUTCD;
  • Skills in analyzing and creating collision diagrams;
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS;
  • Experience with Synchro;
  • Numerical modeling capabilities.

Additional Information

All information will be kept confidential in accordance with EEO guidelines. Compensation will be determined based on location and individual qualifications, with an expected range of $83,000 to $112,000.
