Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Burano Home Collective is a leading importer and distributor of home fashion essentials. Our company designs, sources, and manufactures everything that we sell, allowing us to deliver the best products at the best prices to our customers. We are a collaborative and solution-orientated team searching for someone who is willing to challenge themselves and make meaningful contributions towards our growth.

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to coordinate all company human resources activities, such as payroll, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of HR functions and procedures, including pay and benefits, recruitment, training, and development. The salary for this position is approximately $65,000 per year, plus benefits.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal employer regulations
  • Develop and refine the recruitment process, including job descriptions, advertisements, and hiring processes
  • Create staffing plans for busy seasons and work with recruiters or staffing agency liaisons
  • Process terminations according to government regulations, including COBRA processing
  • Design and implement effective training and development plans
  • Weekly payroll processing
  • Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages
  • Administer benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), STD, LTD, life insurance, and paid time off
  • Implement performance review programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization
  • Author disciplinary warnings and performance improvement plans
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including new hire information and changes in employment status
  • Respond to employees' queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate human resource policies, procedures, and structures for the organization
  • Assist the VP People Ops in resolving employee relations issues and providing HR guidance to employees and managers
  • Process employment verification requests and unemployment security verifications
  • Develop and distribute company memos, messages, etc.
  • Organize employee engagement activities for cultural success
