Objective:
The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for ensuring that products are assembled and packaged in compliance with customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble products meticulously to minimize customer rejections by identifying issues, determining potential causes, and proposing alternative solutions while adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Efficiently utilize and oversee production tools and equipment to prevent damage and production delays.
- Conduct inspections of work and promptly notify supervisors of any concerns. Complete necessary documentation to verify quality assurance processes.
- Provide support for warehouse and inventory management as required.
- Package products according to company and customer guidelines or prepare finished items for shipping.
- Perform various tasks throughout the organization during low assembly demand, which may include deburring, tumbling, and parts washing.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Physical Requirements:
- Employees must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach, carry, and/or lift items from the floor to above head level; exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally; 10-25 pounds frequently; and up to 10 pounds constantly to move parts, tools, and cleaning materials.
Visual Acuity:
- Must possess the ability to read measuring devices, machine gauges, drawings, and other relevant documentation to perform tasks safely and effectively.
Working Conditions:
- Employees may be exposed to high noise levels from operating machinery, physical hazards from moving equipment, and exposure to fumes, dust, and mist; safety equipment is required.
Job Specifications:
- Must demonstrate manual dexterity, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Basic reading and mathematical skills are required.
- Ability to learn, retain, and apply job-related information to enhance performance.
- Must be a self-starter capable of working independently without constant supervision.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Capacity to assemble components within specified timeframes to meet production targets.
