Our client, the San Francisco Terminal Equipment Company, LLC (SFOTEC), oversees the management and upkeep of equipment, facilities, and services at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), encompassing all terminal, landside, and airside operations. We are in search of a Senior Manager of Aviation & Facilities, requiring prior experience in commercial aviation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of aeronautical equipment and facilities under the jurisdiction of SFOTEC.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Managing Director regarding terminal and equipment operations.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure the effective functioning of SFOTEC.
- Act as a representative for the Managing Director and SFOTEC leadership when necessary.
- Possess knowledge of operational documents such as leases, contracts, and agreements related to terminal facilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with the SFOTEC Executive Committee, SFOTEC Member Airlines, Non-Member Airlines, SFOTEC Service Contractors, and relevant governmental agencies.
- Lead and guide contracted operation and maintenance staff, promoting a positive and high-performing work culture.
- Supervise the operations and maintenance of consortium aeronautical equipment, including gate, security, and baggage systems.
- Manage contracted maintenance service providers, monitoring their performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare and revise contingency plans and procedures for potential system outages or failures.
- Oversee parts inventory, ensuring compliance with tracking and accountability standards.
- Review daily service and equipment report logs, addressing any operational or maintenance issues with the relevant management of contracted providers.
- Conduct audits and system assessments to verify compliance with established service levels for performance, reliability, serviceability, and safety.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in aeronautical equipment and systems.
Preferred Experience and Background:
- At least 8 years of experience in operations, engineering, or equipment maintenance at a large airport.
- A minimum of 4 years in a supervisory role.
- A collaborative team player with exceptional communication skills.
