Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Veterinary Technology program. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in a variety of formats, including face-to-face, remote, and online.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach specific classes in the Veterinary Technology discipline
  • Develop and implement course syllabi and instructional materials
  • Maintain accurate records, assign grades, and assess student progress
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Virginia Community College System
  • Stay current with developments in the Veterinary Technology field
Requirements
  • DVM or VMD with valid Virginia license and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, or
  • LVT with valid Virginia license and a Bachelor's degree, plus a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience, or
  • LVT with valid Virginia license and an Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology, plus a minimum of 6 years of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience teaching in higher education
  • Experience teaching in classroom, hybrid, and online formats
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to reside in the DMV area and be available to teach during the day, evening, or weekend, or a combination of all.
