Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team at WIN Waste Innovations. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a collection truck and providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in compliance with our safety standards. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
  • Route Navigation and Customer Service: Safely operate the truck along designated routes, read route sheets, and follow maps to service each customer as identified on the route sheet or assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.
  • Material Handling and Disposal: Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse, operate a compactor, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
  • Customer Interaction and Communication: Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
  • Accident Response and Cleanup: Clean the area around an accidental waste spill, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize downtime. Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body (where appropriate) on each disposal trip.
  • Reporting and Productivity: Complete required route/productivity sheets and other reports as required. Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all required safety policies and procedures. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Commercial Driver's License: Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Experience: Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks is preferred.
