About the Role

Cumberland Heights is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to their needs.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the campus, including buildings, parking lots, and grounds, to identify and address any safety and security concerns.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and exterior grounds cameras to ensure the security of the campus.
  • Communicate effectively with medical and clinical staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including Code Reds, Code Blues, Code Greys, and Code Yellows, according to established policies and procedures.
  • De-escalate and manage physical and verbal altercations, using the least amount of physical force necessary.
  • Maintain current certifications as required of an unarmed security officer.
  • Participate in debriefing and peer reviews regarding critical situations.
  • Recommend ways to improve the quality and delivery of services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and patient information.
  • React productively to change.
Requirements
  • Minimum of one year experience as an unarmed Security officer required.
  • Valid and active Tennessee Armed Guard license.
  • Experience working in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to run or climb stairs in rapid manner.
  • Ability to make decisions under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Excellent customer service and interviewing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior organizational skills for managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in use of PC.
