Production Manager

Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that production schedules are met, and quality standards are maintained. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly supervise production personnel, mixing staff, and temporary staff.
- Indirectly supervise warehouse and maintenance staff.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and procurement teams to meet plant and company goals.
Primary Duties
- Direct shift activities to meet production schedules, quality requirements, and customer needs.
- Communicate with outgoing shift supervisors to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
- Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure the transfer of materials and receipt of items.
- Make work assignments for production team members.
- Verify that critical control points (CCPs) and critical quality points (CQPs) are being met.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Food industry experience and knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and safety training desired.
