Job Summary

The Lead Sales Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store with a customer-first focus. This role involves assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and leadership
  • Operate cash registers and scanners to process transactions and assist customers
  • Stock and recover merchandise, including building displays and maintaining store appearance
  • Clean the store, including taking out trash, dusting, and mopping floors
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining planograms
  • Open and close the store under the direction of the Store Manager
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of safety policies and practices
  • Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and operate cash registers
  • Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
Working Conditions
  • Frequent walking and standing
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run check out stations and stock merchandise
  • Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment
  • Frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds
