Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of occupational therapy needs for students in the Aurora, IL area.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Direct Therapy: Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings, utilizing a variety of techniques and strategies to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure a cohesive and effective treatment plan.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
  • IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support and accommodations.
  • Supervision: Supervise and provide guidance to occupational therapy assistants as needed, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality care to students.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting, with a preference for experience working in a school setting as an OT.
  • Education: Must have a master's degree in Occupational Therapy and be in at least the Clinical Fellowship Year.
