Position Overview

The LPN provides essential personal care services to residents, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and residents' rights during their assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow the Resident Assessment and Care Plan for each resident.
  • Deliver skilled personal assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide respectful assistance for residents with incontinence.
  • Administer medications in accordance with state regulations, maintaining accurate medication records.
  • Conduct assessments within your professional scope and communicate findings to the appropriate parties.
  • Ensure all resident care documentation is current and accurate.
  • Stay informed about resident behaviors, medication effects, and significant changes, documenting relevant events.
  • Collaborate with other staff members regarding medication and care changes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment for residents.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary needs and schedules.
  • Engage residents in activities that promote movement and mental stimulation based on their care plans.
  • Adhere to KDADS care regulations and compliance standards.
  • Interact professionally with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Participate in mandatory staff education sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Monitor property conditions and report maintenance issues as needed.
  • Uphold company appearance standards while on duty.
  • Familiarize yourself with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Must be currently certified and in good standing as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Kansas. Successful completion of orientation and training programs is required.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy objects with assistance.
  • Capability to bend, squat, kneel, and twist.
  • Engage in repetitive motions such as cleaning and organizing.
  • Ability to push or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods.
