Your Career

Our Cloud Management Platform group is looking for passionate Backend Engineers to develop and design scalable microservices used to activate all Palo Alto Networks cloud products.

We seek experienced senior-level Software Engineers who love to code, build great products, and bring new ideas in all facets of software development.

Your Impact

  • You will collaborate with development teams and product managers to ideate and design software solutions.
  • You will design and develop robust backend services using GoLang and NodeJS.
  • You will architect both client-side and server-side systems.
  • You will develop and manage scalable NoSQL or SQL databases and applications.
  • You will create effective REST APIs with support for versioning.
  • You will write test-driven code to ensure high-quality software.
  • You will produce comprehensive functional and design specifications.
  • You will provide suggestions and ideas for framework improvements.
  • You will develop data-driven software with a focus on a generic design approach.
  • You will innovate and introduce new ideas to the team.
  • You will proactively solve problems and deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in GoLang and NodeJS.
  • Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes ecosystems.
  • Expertise in NoSQL, SQL, or Graph databases.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, including observability and monitoring.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes.
  • Basic understanding of data security and protection principles.
  • Must have familiarity with testing frameworks and writing unit tests for Go and NodeJS applications.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture and message queues.
  • Familiarity with common software stacks and data structures and algorithms.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between $126,000 - $204,500 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location.

This role offers a competitive compensation package, including restricted stock units and a bonus.
