AHMG Hospitalist at AdventHealth Central Florida

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team as a Nocturnist at AdventHealth Winter Park. As a key member of our hospitalist team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure seamless care transitions.
Responsibilities- Perform physical examinations of hospital patients, including new patient visits, pre- and post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding, and discharging patients per hospital protocol.
- Provide assistance during procedures as requested.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory and X-ray.
- Monitor patients' courses of treatment and make referrals to physicians or specialists as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
- Display a caring and professional attitude at all times and maintain personal and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of patients in an inpatient setting.
- Position requires a 7 on/7 off work schedule with daily hours of 6PM-6AM.
- Position is based at AdventHealth Winter Park.
- Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1-2 years.
- Prefer 2 years of inpatient-based medicine, preferably in Internal Medicine.
- Masters degree in Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies.
- Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligibility) required.
- Current, valid DEA license.
- ANCC (or equivalent) or PANCE Certification (or eligibility) required.
- Current BLS and ACLS required.

The hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders to a 382-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness.
