Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our team at Caregiver, Inc. As a key member of our residential support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, and social skills
• Provide direct support and assistance in training activities, as specified in individual support plans
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, as required
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment, including bedroom maintenance and housekeeping skills
• Administer medications and treatments, as per company policy
• Serve as a Primary Person (P2) for assigned consumers, ensuring their wellbeing at all times
• Participate in in-service training sessions and attend meetings as required
• Collaborate with the Individual Support Team to develop and implement individual support plans
• Monitor and report on consumer activities, ensuring safety and health care practices are observed

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities is an asset
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Satisfactory completion of criminal background checks and other post-offer, pre-employment screenings
