Quest Diagnostics is a premier provider of worksite wellness assessments, immunization services, and health enhancement initiatives. Our healthcare professionals visit various organizations to conduct screenings and administer immunizations for their staff. During a wellness assessment, a provider will gather essential health metrics, including height, weight, blood pressure, waist and/or hip circumference, along with a finger stick for glucose and cholesterol evaluations. These events typically occur during standard business hours. If you are available for at least two weekdays on a consistent basis, this opportunity may align well with your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct biometric screenings at client locations, including finger stick blood collection;
- Deliver outstanding customer service during all health assessments and immunization events;
- Ensure accurate, complete, and legible documentation;
- Engage in training and continuing education programs as required;
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the workplace, including the use of necessary protective equipment to mitigate exposure to potentially infectious materials;
- Comply with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining quality assurance and good manufacturing practices;
- Uphold all HIPAA and OSHA standards during events;
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Valid RN license;
- Formal medical education with current appropriate medical certification;
- Additional medical certifications or licenses as mandated by state or regulatory standards.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment;
- Completion of a fingerstick procedure within the last 2 years;
- Proficiency in finger stick blood collection techniques and manual blood pressure measurement;
- At least one year of experience with immunizations/intramuscular injections;
- Experience with CardioChek machines is preferred;
- Skills in proper specimen handling, labeling, processing, preparation, transportation, and storage.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Wellness screenings are generally conducted in corporate or conference room settings;
- Travel to screening event locations is necessary within a 30-mile radius;
- Ability to lift light to moderately heavy items, with the potential to carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds;
- Fine motor skills and steadiness are essential;
- Attention to detail is critical;
- COVID-19 safety measures are in place;
- Remote interview process available;
- Personal protective equipment will be provided as needed;
- Sanitizing and disinfecting protocols are implemented.
