**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Triumph Treatment Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in delivering specialized healthcare services to individuals diagnosed with both mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations of qualifying patients admitted into our programs, including telehealth services.
- Provide ongoing patient care and individualized treatment plans, which may include psychotropic medication management, informed consent, and education regarding the patient's diagnosis, treatment, medications, and potential side effects.
- Adhere to established protocols for maintaining patient confidentiality and safeguard confidentiality by maintaining records both in-office and electronically.
- Possess knowledge of substance use disorders and familiarity with ASAM diagnosis as well as psychiatric diagnoses.
- Understand long-term rehabilitative processes, including the necessity for both medical and mental health care, post-treatment crises, relapses, and challenges arising from sobriety.
- Report screening/assessment/evaluation results to appropriate agencies.
- Effectively document, in a timely manner, regarding patient diagnosis, physical/mental health needs, and treatment recommendations.
- Gather and present all necessary patient data required for billing and collections promptly.
- Provide testimony, depositions, and treatment recommendations in court, as required.
- Understand the legal obligations of emergency management, including involvement with Child Protective Services (CPS), Washington State Duty to Warn laws, and reporting to the police.
- Participate in team meetings and engage in on-call for our inpatient facilities.
- Perform a standardized suicide risk assessment on all patients and implement appropriate crisis intervention measures when necessary.
Requirements:
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Nursing or Nursing practice with psychiatric mental health specialization.
- Two years of experience as a psychiatric prescriber preferred.
- Five years of experience in the mental health field.
- Registered Nurse License and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Washington.
- Federal DEA registration.
