About the Position

The Graphic Design Specialist is a key member of our communications team, reporting to the Creative Manager. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining consistency in branding, images, and messaging across all communication channels. The successful candidate will assist with the design, production, and updating of visual materials for various platforms, including marketing materials, outreach resources, web pages, internal communications, e-newsletters and campaigns, social media, presentations, and events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating on the design, development, and publishing of print and digital materials that meet brand standards and guidelines.
  • Type setting reports, flyers, and other documents to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
  • Image editing and resizing for website and social media channels to enhance visual appeal and consistency.
  • Following established brand standards and processes to produce high-quality results.
  • Contributing to monthly and other necessary reports to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

We are seeking an experienced graphic designer who possesses a basic understanding of federal nutrition programs and their role in alleviating hunger. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field plus 3 years of professional experience, or Associate's degree plus equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in a non-profit or human services organization.
  • Expertise in Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated mastery of typographic skills and ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Video/motion graphic experience is a plus.
  • Strong design skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
