Job Title: Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Central New York Cardiology PC.

About the Role:

This position involves performing echocardiogram procedures for diagnostic purposes, utilizing high frequency sound waves and non-invasive echocardiography testing equipment. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge and skills in support of diagnostic and therapeutic services to a specified patient population.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform imaging and non-imaging evaluations, including echocardiography
  • Obtain patient history, explain procedures, address concerns, and follow pre-screening policies
  • Determine appropriate methodology and techniques, arrange immobilization and support devices, and select imaging devices
  • Prepare patients for procedures, position them as needed, and assist during completion
  • Use good judgment to determine if procedures were sufficient for proper diagnoses or if additional imaging is needed
  • Provide images, data analysis, and patient information to physicians for diagnostic interpretation
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation, including computerized records
  • Perform general office duties, such as maintaining supplies, assisting with purchasing, recording procedure codes, and scheduling patients
  • Troubleshoot equipment and document errors or malfunctions
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program
  • Associate's Degree or higher preferred
  • Knowledge with a solid foundation in Echocardiography; 12 months of accumulated experience within the last three years in a comparable job classification preferred

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
