Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and has excellent technical skills. As a travel Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with Magnet Medical, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings and expand your professional network.
About the Role
This 13-week contract will require working 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, nights. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing medical imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment to create images or videos of patients' internal structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review patient medical history and physician orders to ensure the correct type of ultrasound procedure is performed.
- Prepare ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and has the necessary settings adjusted for the procedure.
- Explain the ultrasound procedure to the patient, addressing any questions or concerns to reduce anxiety.
- Position patients properly on the examination table to capture clear, high-quality images.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings such as depth, focus, and frequency to capture optimal images of organs, tissues, or blood flow.
- Capture diagnostic-quality images and videos of organs, blood vessels, muscles, or fetuses (if performing obstetric ultrasounds).
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong foundation in ultrasound technology and imaging techniques. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable during procedures.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive tax-free stipend package based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week. This package is subject to confirmation. Our travel positions provide opportunities for professional growth, cultural exchange, and exploring new destinations.
Salary Estimate
The estimated salary for this position is $$123,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
