Avera Sister James Care Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional care and service to patients, residents, guests, and fellow employees.

Job Summary

This role requires a compassionate and skilled individual to perform various tasks, including providing direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting the healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing excellent care and service to patients, residents, guests, and fellow employees
  • Performing all duties in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives
  • Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve patient-centered care
Responsibilities

The Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Providing basic nursing care, including taking vital signs and administering medications
  • Supporting the healthcare team with tasks, such as transferring patients and preparing rooms
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Obtain CNA certification within 120 days of hire
  • Have Med Aide certification if eligible
Work Schedule

This position requires working 5:30pm-6:00am, every other weekend, and every other holiday, with 72 hours worked every 2 weeks.

Compensation

The hourly range for this position is $18.25-$24.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
