Job Summary

The RN Supervisor SICU is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the SICU department, ensuring a safe and effective environment for patients, families, and staff. This role involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and implementing policies and procedures to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve departmental goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify and address areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a hospital setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct staff.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations governing nursing practice and hospital operations.
