MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Access and Ambulatory Services team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve patient access and experience across our ambulatory enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient access and experience
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align access initiatives with organizational goals
  • Clinical Operations
    • Oversee clinical operations across ambulatory services, ensuring high-quality patient care
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve clinical efficiency and effectiveness
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline access and reduce wait times
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement new workflows and technologies
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, staff, and patients
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of access initiatives and progress
Requirements
  • Board-certified MD or DO in any specialty with an unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Maryland
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MPH, MHA, MS, MBA) in a related field (highly desired)
  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical operations at a large healthcare organization or integrated delivery system with oversight for ambulatory services
  • Experience in establishing strategic priorities and implementing large-scale initiatives
  • Experience in data analytics and data reporting, including familiarity with current usage of AI and machine learning
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and work with a large number of diverse stakeholders
