Job Summary

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at a correctional facility in Soledad, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience and be able to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from 7:45am to 4:15pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescription/medication orders for completeness, correctness, authenticity, and legality.
  • Assess prescription/medication orders against patient medical profiles for improper drug selection, under-dosage, dosage, over-dosage, drug interactions, dosage form, and delivery system.
  • Manage or directly prepare, manufacture, compound, and dispense drugs and pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Provide consultations to CDCR medical staff and the Medical Authorization Review Committee.
  • Supervise and maintain records of drugs, poisons, and narcotics as required by Federal and State Laws.
  • Implement and maintain medication delivery systems in accordance with directives from the CDCR System-wide P&T Committee.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist.
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
