Job Summary:

Walpole, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fleet Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Birmingham, AL terminal. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex diesel engine issues, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure our fleet of vehicles is running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engine problems, including issues with after-treatment systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, team members, and supervisors to ensure seamless operations
  • Participate in safety and educational training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest industry developments

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of experience in vehicle/equipment maintenance
  • ASE/EVT certifications preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license (Class A CDL preferred but not required)
