Position Summary:
Sparrow's Nest is a serene sanctuary dedicated to wellness, seeking skilled and compassionate Prenatal Wellness Massage Specialists. Our therapists focus on providing tailored prenatal and postnatal massage therapy, fostering the health and comfort of expectant and new mothers.

Professional Goals:
To offer the most therapeutically effective and suitable massage and body treatments for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver all signature massage and spa wellness therapies, including prenatal, induction, birth-preparation, postpartum, C-section, lactation, bereavement, and therapeutic massages.
  • Assess clients' unique needs and expectations to determine the most appropriate services, products, and personalized attention required for satisfaction.
  • Collaborate effectively with other spa team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor for clients and colleagues.
  • Monitor the appointment schedule throughout the day to stay updated on changes and perform treatments within the allotted time, ensuring adherence to the schedule.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all staff, team, and educational meetings.
  • Comply with company policies regarding appearance and conduct.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the spa.
  • Actively cultivate a loyal clientele and meet service and retail sales performance goals.
  • Utilize appropriate quantities of products and manage laundry in accordance with company protocols.
  • Assist in laundering linens and managing inventory as needed.
  • Communicate with management regarding any client or coworker occurrences that may require attention or follow-up.
  • Ensure cleanliness of treatment areas and restock supplies as necessary.
  • Perform preparatory work and maintain cleanliness of work areas as required.
  • If not fully booked, use available time for client communications and support the team as needed.

Qualifications and Availability:

  • A valid massage license for the State of California, along with spa or practical body therapy experience.
  • Preference for candidates trained by Body Therapy Education's 32 Hour Pre- and Perinatal Massage Therapy Workshop, developed by Carole Osborne. Certification completion is highly valued but not mandatory.
  • Specialized skills such as Rhythmic Deep Tissue Sculpting, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Mercier Therapy, and Infant Massage Instructor Training are advantageous but not required.
  • Experience in retail sales and customer service is preferred.
  • Availability for one weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) per week.
  • Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility and capability to multitask.
  • High energy level to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and a passion for positively impacting the lives of mothers and babies.
  • Emotional maturity and strong active listening skills.

  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to travel to clients' homes within a designated geographic area.

Physical Requirements:
Standing 70%, sitting 10%, walking 15%, lifting 5%, computer use 10%, bending 20%, stooping 10%, lifting up to 50 lbs.
