Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Rush Oak Park Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in coordinating and performing a full range of Nuclear Medicine examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and perform Nuclear Medicine examinations, ensuring high-quality scans and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Operate complex equipment, selecting technical factors to ensure optimal scan quality.
  • Administer radioisotopes, maintaining aseptic technique and isolation procedures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide critical care and implement physician orders.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records, adhering to departmental policies and state/federal requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 months to 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program, with Associate degree preferred.
  • Current active Illinois State License and certification in Nuclear Medicine (N.M.T.C.B.) or Registered by the ARRT.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine equipment, PACs system, EPIC EMR, and hospital phone system.
Physical Demands
  • Physical, visual, auditory, and full body mobility to move and assist patients on and off exam tables or transportation devices.
