Classified Advertising Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Classified Advertising Representative to join our team at Western News & Info Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for receiving, inputting, and selling classified advertising to individuals and businesses.

• Accept and place classified reader ads from customers over the phone and in person.
• Solicit additional sales from customers through additional features available.
• Inform customers about customer benefits, set-up and pricing of classified reader ads.
• Handle remakes, extensions, renewals, corrections, and kills of classified reader ads.
• Secure testimonials from satisfied customers.
• Process public notice/legal advertising.
• Perform collection calls as requested by management.
• Process circulation starts and stops on the computer received via phone or in person.
• Take photos for classified ads using a digital camera.
• Answer the telephone and greet visitors directing them to the appropriate party.
• Process daily mail; sort, open, and distribute to proper personnel.

• Basic knowledge of office equipment including computers, email, fax machines, scanners, and copiers.
• Type 50 words per minute accurately.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment.

We offer a competitive base rate of pay and a commission structure. This is a non-remote position, and you will be required to work in our office location in Cottonwood, AZ.
