Job Description

At HUB International, we are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Account Management & Service department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our clients and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with prospective clients and HR technology vendors to evaluate needs and develop strategies to set up benefits plans under quick turnaround requirements.
  • Lead quoting and implementation processes of client benefits packages, with support from benefits experts.
  • Work with internal teams to understand available resources and optimization opportunities.
  • Acquire understanding of clients' insurance objectives to determine appropriate next steps.
  • Critically analyze and compare insurance plans to determine suitability and negotiate with Underwriters and carriers.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, business partners, and SPG colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Manage, organize, and conduct client meetings when necessary and appropriately document conversations with clients and carrier representatives.
  • Work with SPG leadership and operations teams to develop and streamline overall strategy delivered to prospects.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of data in all SPG computer systems and automated agency management systems and prepare reports for Management as required.
  • Stay abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact clients by attending industry-related continuing education training and courses.
  • Act as a consultant and make appropriate recommendations to clients in response to industry shifts and changes independent of Manager approval.
  • Travel on company business as required.
  • Support, mentor, and train lower-level colleagues, as necessary.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of applicable HR Technology and/or Employee Benefits experience.
  • Existing Life and Health License.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree preferred.
