The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector Specialist to join its team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with work plans and contract specifications for major construction projects at the airports.
The successful candidate will have seven years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring, coordinating, and inspecting the construction of electrical and fire alarm systems in various projects. They will be knowledgeable about key regulatory requirements of the building trades and generally accepted practices of the construction industry.
- Monitor contractor's progress to ensure activities, milestones, and completion dates are achieved on schedule.
- Collect information and draft documents for management review and action.
- Review and validate payment requests to ensure compliance with actual work completed and the contract specifications.
The ideal candidate will have expertise using project management systems and office productivity software. They will be able to perform complex analyses of data and information and make recommendations.
