Job Description

Job Summary:

Actalent is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring construction structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and monitor construction structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Support construction management by providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Perform highway and bridge inspections to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Develop and implement erosion control measures to prevent soil erosion and sedimentation.
  • Assist in paving and retaining wall construction projects.
  • Monitor construction progress and identify areas for improvement.


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Inspector.
  • Experience with roadway and bridges (no building).
  • VDOT certifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
