Department: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Unit Overview:
- 22 ICU Beds & 20 Step Down Beds (flexible responsibilities across both units)
- Patient Demographics: Focus on post-operative care for cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgeries (CABG, valve replacement, carotid procedures, thoracotomy, esophagectomy, AAA, fem-pop), heart failure management, and advanced therapies including LVAD and ECMO (both VV and VA).
- Key Features: Experience in managing both critical and progressive care patients, utilizing advanced medical devices such as ECMO, Impella, and LVAD.
