About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Designer to join our team at Ramboll US Corporation. As an Electrical Designer, you will play a critical role in creating innovative and high-quality design solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create electrical designs in Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Prepare CAD/Revit floor plans showing electrical device layouts, circuitry, fixtures, equipment, etc.
  • Prepare one-line diagrams with input from Engineers
  • Calculate electrical loads and develop panel schedules
  • Coordinate device locations, loads, and circuitry with other disciplines
  • Layout fire alarm devices on floor plans with input from Engineers
  • Prepare lighting calculations and energy code compliance calculations
  • Layout lighting fixtures on plans and demonstrate fundamental knowledge of lighting concepts
  • Develop and maintain a general knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA Codes and other codes
  • Edit electrical specifications with input from Engineers
Requirements
  • An Associate's Degree in engineering technology, science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting, or other relevant technical curriculum
  • 3+ years of qualifying engineering experience in electrical design of municipal and industrial projects using Autodesk AutoCAD MEP and Autodesk REVIT
  • Proficient knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams)
  • Excellent working knowledge of electrical design in the realm of commercial, educational, multi-family, and light industrial projects
  • Experience with lighting design software AGI32 or similar software
