Role Responsibilities

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiological and x-ray procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. This role adheres to stringent safety and regulatory standards while ensuring the highest quality of care.

  • Operational Excellence: Uphold the quality of care within the diagnostic and surgical departments.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proper anatomical positioning and a thorough understanding of physiological and technical factors.
  • Film Facilitation: Ensure efficient and effective film readings by collaborating with radiologists.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain knowledge of equipment and radiation safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for both patients and staff.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain the condition of radiology equipment.
  • Radiation Monitoring: Utilize radiation monitoring devices consistently and implement safety precautions, especially for patients of child-bearing age.
  • Patient-Centric Care: Adapt care approaches based on the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturity of each patient.
  • Quality Assurance: Engage in departmental quality assurance initiatives and demonstrate sound cost containment techniques.
  • Continuing Education: Complete annual educational requirements to maintain professional competency.

Qualifications

Licensure and Certification: Candidates must possess certification from the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or applicable state licensure, along with BLS certification.

Education and Experience: A graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program is required, with one to two years of radiological/x-ray experience preferred.

Compensation for this position ranges from USD $28.00 to USD $40.00 per hour.
