Job Overview:
Surgical Recovery Coordinators provide essential support to the organ recovery and preservation process in assigned hospitals within LiveOnNY's service area. With a focus on preserving life, they work closely with Transplant Coordinators, Donor Hospital OR staff, and Organ Recovery Team(s) to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate organ recovery and preservation procedures
  • Travel to donor hospitals by aircraft for organ recoveries
  • Provide equipment, solutions, and pre-operative supplies for solid organs
  • Perform surgical/OR techniques during organ recovery
  • Maintain organ preservation lab and restock equipment and supplies

Qualifications:
  • MD, RN, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Surgical Technician, EMT or equivalent
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training preferred
  • CTP (Certified Transplant Preservationist) preferred
  • Good knowledge of human anatomy/function and basic medical terminology necessary
  • Knowledge of surgical aseptic technique required

Estimated Salary Range: $86,000-$98,000
