About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team at LayerZero Power Systems Inc., a globally recognized leader in power distribution solutions for critical industries worldwide.

This exciting opportunity will enable you to leverage your mechanical engineering expertise to drive innovation and growth, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge products to market.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in new product development projects, application engineering of existing products, and driving processes that bring these innovations to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new products, apply engineering principles to existing products, and drive processes that bring them to fruition
  • Work with Electrical, Software, and other Mechanical Engineers, taking ownership of well-defined tasks and contributing to design reviews
  • Manage all aspects of the product life cycle, including specification, component selection, mechanical design, prototyping, manufacturing engineering, and QA/QC
  • Leverage our core competency in mechanical engineering, contributing to various mechanical engineering disciplines

Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering; MS preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
  • Proficiency in 3-D CAD tools (SolidEdge preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and programming languages
  • Experience with metal forming operations, electromechanical design, and additive processes
